After making bets players one by one get cards. Originally they receive 2 cards but then can ask more. If somebody gets at the beginning the ace and the ten-value card - it is exactly winning blackjack. But if the dealer also gets blackjack card combination this situation is called 'push' and nobody wins and bets are returned. But in some casinos it may be considered in a favor of casino. But if the dealer doesn't have blackjack the player who has it are paid 3:2 (in 1,5 times more than his or her bet). If somebody of the players has a score more than 21 it is called 'busting' and this player loses.

After getting initial two cards players can use such options as 'hit', 'stand', 'split', 'double down' and in some casinos - 'surrender'. But to make the correct decision it is necessary to have knowledge in a blackjack strategy.
